Dr Oz known as America’s Doctor recently featured the Original Himalayan Crystal Salt Pipe on his show. This caused a huge surge of interest in all Salt Pipes not just the Himalayan. Himalayan Salt is highly prized though more expensive as it has to be mined from salt beds created from seas which dried out over 250 million years ago. Himalayan Salt is used for lamps, for Bath Salt , for cooking and for Salt Pipes. The salt is normally pink and contains up to 84 minerals.
On Dr Oz’s show he tested the Salt Pipe on a member of the audience who was obviously highly enthusiastic about the exhilarating effect of breathing though a salt pipe. Google search for Salt Pipes boomed the next day

I’m not qualified to give any medical advice but I do know ex-smokers get some relief from breathing through a Salt Pipe why discuss not it with your doctor.
